I used the fancy pants part of my scale this morning. 35.3# fat apparently. 25.6% It seem to me that’s 35.3 pounds too many. Before anyone says it, yeah I know I need some fat to insulate organ and stuff. So, what is a good percent?
Huh, according to the very first website that came up, the ideal fat percentage for my age is 21-32. I am down right average.

You know how embarrassing it was in health class when they pulled out those calipers to measure body fat.

The average American woman 20 years old and up weighs 170.6 pounds

and stands at 63.7 inches (almost 5 feet, 4 inches) tall.
And the average waist circumference? It’s 38.6 inches.

Huh. Really puts into perspective how fat America is as a whole and how not fat I am by comparison. Too bad I don’t go by comparison to others; I just compare myself to what I feel I should be.

Anyway, same stuff packed for lunch. I know I’m boring.
138.5 lb Lost so far: 3.0 lb.    Still to go: 13.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
