I have been MIA lately on checking in here. It's been extra busy with work, school, etc starting.

This week's workouts include:
Mon- weights and run 3 miles
Tues- Swim 40 lengths, approx 30 min
Thurs- Walk 1 hr (6 times back and forth to school w/ kids) and boot camp 45 min

That is the second time I went to the boot camp class. That is a hard workout! It is 45 min of pain! Pushups, tons of work with a 9-12 lb bar, situps, up-downs, etc. I will keep trying to go to that each week if possible.

So, I guess those are good workouts this week, but I feel I have been slacking. I guess b/c it's not been as intense with the running as I was with triathlon training. I am probably going to plan to do an 8K (5 miles) run in Sept. It starts along the beach, goes through trails, mile 4 is uphill then you run up the stairs of a tower, then mile 5 is regular. Sounds challenging! I think I need sometime to re-motivate me to run more b/c I have been loosing my motivation a little. I need a goal before me and have it posted up again.

Eating has been good overall but snacking a little too much this week, thus the 1 lb up. I need to curb the snacks or choose the lower cal ones. I had ice cream several times this week at night which was yummy, but not helpful to weight loss! I know how to choose better choices, but I just gave in to the desire to have it.

I just came back from having some low fat frozen yogurt, I love ice cream of almost any kind. You girls are putting me to shame with your excellent workout schedules and marathon runs. I'd better get cracking! ;-)

Yes, coming up w/a specific goal will help you stay motivated. You can do it, LLF! That 8K sounds tough, but fun! Good luck!

Your workouts sound great to me! I'm thinking you can't keep up REALLY tough ones all the time, you need to slow down a bit from time to time - whether it's because of your schedule or just what your body needs. I like the idea of having a goal to work towards. I need one, too! Time to sign up for another race. Gotta earn that ice cream! :)
