First Week Down, I Survived

I may have lost or gained a number that equals less than a pound, but my scale is stupid, so until I see a full pound drop (or god forbid a gain), I am not counting it. Today it looks as if I am at the same I was when I started on Monday then.

I'm fine with not gaining or losing any this week, as it was my first week and this is a huge lifestyle change that I am taking in steps. This was just the starter week to see how well I can handle eating healthy with my time restrictions and boyfriend eating other things. It was a learning experience, and I feel more prepared to crack down even harder next week. If I keep going week by week like this, I think it will be beneficial. I have to say for this week, I am proud of myself. :)

...I'm excited for next week though because I've got so many new ideas to be even healthier... and I get to go hunting this weekend and THAT my friends, can be an amazing cardio workout. Woop!

You have a great attitude, and if you can keep it then I know you will be successful! We all want to see immediate results and it’s easy to get discouraged if you don’t, which I can see from your journal that you have not. Congrats on making it through your first week! Like you said, now you can look back at what you’ve done this past week and learn from it and use it this upcoming week.

Thanks Bri! I decided my main goal before I started dieting, and that main goal is to live healthier. Losing weight is just a positive side-effect of being healthy. That's how I look at it so not losing any weight this week is fine because I know how I've been eating, and I've been eating much better than I ever have. :)

That's a good way of looking at it, especially being young! That's basically what I'm trying to do myself. I want to lose some weight, but mainly change my lifestyle to be healthier.
