Not sure why this happens, but I seem to plateau for like 5 days without losing an ounce, and then I lose a pound or more a day for a 2 days, only to plateau again for another 5. Averaging 3 lbs/week.

But the hubby and I just picked up a (barely) used elliptical trainer last night, so I will be adding that to my routine. I'm doing great on the diet but the exercise bit has been pretty lame. Long hours and an hour plus commute, added to the excessive heat and humidity lately don't help, but certainly if exercising was important to me I would be doing it!
139.0 lb Lost so far: 23.5 lb.    Still to go: 23.0 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

It sounds like that is just your bodies natural losing rhythm. A plateau is when you stay the same for weekends on end. If you weighed once a week you wouldn't even know if you stayed the same or not. But who cares either way, your losing so great job!
