Inflammation up. Took Lasix and Potassium. I am the picture of health despite my thyroid issues, but I went to the cardiogist. I knew the Ultrasound would show a beautiful heart. No issues. I am nearly 65 and for 20 years I have eaten predominately healthy. I don't eat red meat or pork. I do eat bacon once a week and I will eat a Reuben once or twice a year. I was shocked that my CT showed hardening of the arteries or atheroschlerosis. My cholestorol is not high. It's really pretty perfect for my age and I am not able to exercise like everyone else can. It's hereditary and in spite of me wanting to never have the things I thought I could prevent, here I am. I will be taking a statin to prevent a heart attack and have to have further testing. The also found two nodules in my lungs, but I am certain they are benign. My body grows things. I am hoping the statins help the inflammation and hope to eventually get off that and Lasix. If I could swim daily, I wouldn't have an ounce of fat on me at all. That's my goal. No public pools here. Getting old is not for sissies, but I say I am still reverse aging in every way I can. I keep my mind sharp. I exercise my mind and body. I eat the amount of calories the doctor told me and often eat about 1000. It is not easy to lose weight, but I do my yoga/stretching/meditation and Cherokee prayer cerermony where I dance and pray. It's cardio. I can't do normal things due to my physical limitations, but I still find a way to do them. I even do arm exercises and my arms are showing it. I hear a lot of people say oh it hurts too badly to exercise. I am proof that you can do screaming yoga and moaning stretcing. Move it or loose. I went from an elecric wheelchair to a manual and a walker. I use nothing at home, but I hve terrible balance issues in spite of my good core I have built. I use my walker in most places that are one level and I push myself to do more. Go farther. I am not afraid to die, but I have a ton of work to do before then. I am blessed the doctors found this now. They missed my Mom's until she was in her 70's and she had open heart surgery and a heart attack. Ladies, use a female doctor whenever possible. They know that heart disease is a silent killer. Self-love is so important. Heal your mind and body. It is possible. Have a beautiful day!

Sorry to hear about your cardiologist report. It is hereditary in my family as well. My great grandmother, grandmother and mother had neck surgeries for it. I really worry about that for myself. It sounds like you are doing everything you can for ultimate health and that is all we can do. Wishing the very best for you. Keep me posted on your other tests. Enjoy your day and stay strong!:)🌸
