bri293's Journal, 08 October 2014

Yesterday was a hectic day, had meetings all throughout the day and ate lunch on the run. Then I had to leave work early to go to a doctor’s appointment, and ended up sitting there for over an hour waiting to be seen, which I wasn’t thrilled with since I left work early to get there on time. By the time I got home it was late and resulted to scrounging the freezer and cabinets for food and since I’m in desperate need of a grocery store trip, and ended up with unhealthy options because it was fast and pretty much all I had. Still kept right at my calories for the day which I was happy with. Weight didn’t go up with the bad choices so I’m happy with that. Because of my appointment I also missed out on my normal Tuesday night run, so I’m going to try to get one in tonight. However, grocery shopping might win out over that. We’ll see if I can squeeze both in, or if not I’ll find some activity tonight to burn a few extra calories. It’s days like the past couple ones that really make me wish that I lived closer to where I work. I commute an hour to work, really wish I had that extra time in the evening to get my workouts in. Or in the morning, but I’m not a morning person so that probably wouldn’t happen, haha.

I'm with you on the commuting, and for me it's getting worse every year. I try to just go with the flow and use the time for thought/prayer/meditation. Sounds like you did a good job yesterday with the circumstances you had to deal with so that's a positive. :)
