So I am so disappointed in myself - willpower wise. I was never an overweight person, and the weight keeps adding on and on over the last 10 years. The weight I was never supposed to reach, the weight where I considered myself obese (200lbs) I reached a couple years and 21 lbs ago. I obviously do not know how to maintain a healthy weight as the scale keeps going up no matter what eating plan I use. My self esteem suffers as I get older and wider.I just broke down and bought new jeans as I literally could no longer fit into any of my current ones. I wish calorie counting was easier, but when you cook for yourself (rather than eat prepackaged food) it's hard to know what you are actually getting calorie (or weight watchers point) wise. I'm at a point where I'm not sure which way to turn. It's just so disheartening to look at what my body has turned into.

Don't loose your faith. Keep cooking at home. Just eat small servings. Don't bake anything, specially sweet stuff. Clean your kitchen, you'll be sorry to mess it up again. Take away from your home all the between meals toys. Don't count your calories, just eat wisely.

Stick with it and you'll succeed! Counting the calories is so much easier (mine was under $20) and you are so right about how it can be to fix meals for one. This surely helped me with portion control.

There are web sites out there that figure nutritional values in recipes. You enter the ingredients and number of servings and it breaks it down into calories, fats, carbs, protein, etc. Just Google "recipe nutrition calculator."
