So the scale is on the decline, even if only a pound. It's all about small victories at this point, and honestly, I'd have been happy to have maintained, given that I ate like a heifer yesterday. Something about pool workouts just make ravenous and I crave carbs all day, particularly in sugar form.

I steeled myself against the scourge of humanity that tends to shop there and went to the local Walmart yesterday to get small gladware containers for snack portions. I also picked up some larger divided containers that will be great for portioning out veggies and hummus, fruit, cheese, and anything else the meal plan calls for. (On a side note, why can't parents leave their children at home if they're not going to keep an eye on them when they go to the store? And why are the worst offenders always walmart shoppers?)

It's going to be a hot one today. I think it would be seasonally appropriate to have a pitcher of Moroccan Mint Iced Tea on hand at all times to keep me from going for the Coke. Sunday is a no-train day. Sounds like the appropriate day to go through all my back issues of Bon Appetit and start archiving recipes.

I'm totally with you on the walmart thing. It's terrible that it's such a convenient store considering I dread shopping there. I have managed to limit it to one time per week with the company of the husband.
