Gain of .2 :((((

It's unjust and unjustifiable! IM(humble)O!

Must be weight gain from pms.

Does anyone have a trick when it comes to measurements? I can so play with the tension of the tape that I can have up to an inch of difference.

I guess I'll have to be tracking food. What a nuisance!. Tracking food, tracking expenses, tracking everything. It just seems like 'another thing on my To Do List'.

Well, if it help with my goal, it's a necessary evil.

I have an idea. An electronic kitchen scale with an integrated data base of food that keeps a daily running tab... or something like that.

I think Weight Watchers has a sort of points calculator. I wonder about it's ease and convenience.

When I measure myself I keep the tape loose, no point in squeezing the fat in hopes of getting a smaller number on the tape. Don't weight yourself when you're having your period. You will likely have water retention. I have no problems with planing my meals and logging them into my diet log upfront. It can be fun to see what treats you can eat, if you plan carefully and you have something to look forward too.

You have lost "beautifully," and while you might not be losing weight per the scale, you could be losing inches. Please don't get hung up on the scale too much as it will make you "binge." As for the scale with the internal food log, I have one and it is a "pain in the #%$. If you misplace the booklet that comes with it you are out of luck for sure. Fat Secret is pretty easy like Snezica says, and once you get use to it, it is a breeze.

I bet the trouble sleeping is an important factor too. Our bodies hang on to weigh to comfort us when we need rest. Hang tough, Kiddo!

You can do this. One day at a time. One hour at a time. :)

Thanks all! @Gnewfry - I've had this goal for the last 30 years... lol So, I don't really consider myself close, but now I'm hanging on till it's done. @Teacher. I don't know if that's a fact, but I'll take it. I always heard lack of sleep makes you gain weight because it makes you more vulnerable to bad decisions. @Deb / I will. Maybe I need to fine tune some things. @C724/ And here I thought I had a brilliant idea about the scale... I do feel like I'm in a different body, more toned, so that counts for something. @Snezica, I don't weigh myself on my period, and with perimenopause, you never know when the period will decide to show up. Although the symptoms still appear and no period. Which makes you wonder... Again thanks all. I've posted on my desk wall one of the sayings that I copied from a member, which is truly inspirational. Set your mind and keep it set, don't just have the heart of a starter, but ehave the heart of a finisher. (I barely finished anything I've started in my life, so this saying really I for me.)

I started my "diet" every Monday. When I refused to eat something not on my "diet" my husband would chuckle. He knew I would lose 30 pounds and gain it back over and over. This time I have made progress. I'm not stopping this time! Thanks for posting that starter finisher saying!

I should have put quotation marks and the source. Colossians 3.2 So here goes again" ''SET YOUR MIND AND KEEP IT SET, DON'T JUST HAVE THE HEART OF A STARTER, BUT HAVE THE HEART OF A FINISHER.'' @Deb - at least you did the 30 lbs. I never got further and 8 or 10. But holy cow, this time I'm forging through. First of all, I'm no longer addicted to junk food and wine. With the last revisit, I know the drinking mania was only a bad habit. And I'm fine leaving it in the past. So the path is clear, and they'll be no struggles to deal with, that I can foresee. Maybe just a bit more of portion control. Thanks for listening.

.2 lbs...could well be PMS. Could just be that you need a haircut ;-) Or as Yolanda once said, perhaps you're a bit dusty ;-) Totally agree with the tiredness affecting food choices. I had two days a couple weeks ago where I didn't sleep well...made BAD food choices both of the following days. I remember wandering around the house, wanting *something* and just eating things randomly. I should have taken a nap ;-) Re: points/calories, etc - I'm lazy and want the easiest possible route. While many packaged foods have "points values" and WW has some decent guidelines, points aren't available for every food out there. They pretty much ARE available in calories though. Having the info be fairly quickly accessible makes me more likely to track and log.

Thanks for the quote! I know you can do this! If I can be successful at this, everyone can do it. The first few weeks are the hardest. Then you get into it and the dedication kicks in. No stopping us now!
