It's a good question. There are overweight and even unhealthy vegetarians out there. It could be their food preparation or how their bodies process foods in general. I think you just have to monitor your body and its reaction. When I was younger I practiced a vegetarian diet and I had to fight to keep my weight at a normal range. I used to eat endless amounts of fruit and vegetables without any concerns. Today I eat whatever I want but I flip in and out of a low carb diet so some fruit (high carb/sugar) I scale back on if I’m being a little more strict. Let us know if you try this. Good luck!

That depends on what diet you are on. If it's njashka8's own diet, then only you can say.

Eat as much fruit as you want but make sure its ripe. Don't diss the bananas! Start the day with it. You might want to read about the 80/10/10. just google it. The more I read the more it makes sense to me, but you have to make your own mind up. Enjoy :)

You could gain weight eating anything if you ate enough of it. But you would have to eat a lot of fruit or veggies to actually gain weight. And your stomach would protest, lol!

If you eat when you are not physically hungry, you will gain weight no matter what you eat. Wait for the sign -- then eat til you are satisfied. Don't worry about the type of food as much as the quantity and whether or not you are physically hungry. I have lost and kept off 120+ pounds for 20 years. All you are doing is learning how to eat like a person who weighs less. Don't over think this -- eating something that is SATISFYING is as crucial as eating the right amount. If a banana doesn't satisfy you, you will eat again. There are no silly questions! Ask away!
