Not seeing as much progress as I had hoped for. Really tired today. Seems like I'm not getting any smaller, just gaining muscle.

It's really hard when you are already at a low weight and have very little to lose. It can come off really slow. You just have to keep at it. Be active! Activity really helps when you don't have a lot to lose. Switch up your exercise. Do some interval training (upping intensity helps with fat loss). Track your food honestly. Drink your water. Good luck!

your choice: 59kilo with muscle or 54 without... you can't have both... have you tried measuring bodyfat instead of weight?

Thank you both. In the past 4 weeks, I have gained 2.9 pounds of muscle and lost 5.9 pounds of fat according to the scale thing at the gym. How accurate that is, I don't know. I guess I was just hoping for more. I work out 3 times a week for an hour at a grueling pace in a group class, then 2 days of cardio and 1 day of weight training.

Three pound loss of fat a week is actually in a pretty aggressive pace. With the gaining muscle, you should be boosting your metabolism also, which will end up burning more fat in the long run. Stay patient, you're definitely going in the right direction.
