A little loss finally. I have lofty goals this week, to lose 5 pounds by next Monday's weigh in. But this is going to be THE PERFECT WEEK. Since I've been on here, I haven't had a perfect week where I hit all my aerobic and weight training routines plus my nutrition goals. So this week, I will follow my exercise and nutrition goals 100%. I would love if you guys and girls send me a private email with good low cal recipes for chicken and fish. Have a great week.

Thanks Deb. Good start today. Did a really hard weightlifting workout, though it was only 15 minutes of actual lifting and was under 1000 calores even with popcorn and a couple of shots of bourbon.

That is a goal!! How is the perfect week going?

The perfect week is pretty perfect, thanks for asking. I've been at or under 1000 calories most of the week and the only problem I'm having is that I can feel a little loss of strength during my weight training sessions this week. Probably need more proteins and carbs. I didn't put in all I consumed yesterday but it was a little under 1200 calories total. I have an upper body workout today so I'll see if an additional 200 calories makes a difference in strength. I am so used to weighing myself every day that not getting on the scale until next Monday is going to really take all the willpower that I can muster. Wouldn't it be nice to see a 5 pound loss next Monday?!?!? Good luck to everyone on THERAPY THURSDAY...or I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE DAY!

1000 calories seems really low, that could possibly be why you feel the loss of strength. You need to make sure your putting in what you're expecting to get out of your body or it could decide to revolt. I guess I don't know what research you've done, but if you haven't you may want to research the amount of calories you should eat along with exercise to fuel your body for your workouts. Keep on recording too, that will help a lot too!! Good luck!

Yeah, I should up the calories a bit. I'm anxious about what Monday's weigh in will look like.

Thanks Deb and Rosie and my other buds. Does anyone ever do an oops? I got calls today from friends and family saying things like PARTY WEEKEND and WE WANT TO COME OVER ON MONDAY! When I made this commitment last Monday, my goal was to lose 5 lbs by Monday by having a perfect week. At this point it has been a perfect Monday through Friday. I also said I will weigh in on Monday. You guys and girls are my buds...why didn't you remind me this was a Holiday weekend!! Lol. My bad...can't blame anyone but myself but OMG...5 pounds seems a Herculian task so I weighed myself today and am down 3.2 pounds. 1.8 to go and now I really have to make some choices. 3.2 is a good week so do I become a party pooper when people come over or do I limit this party and probably stay at 3.2. What would you do?

If they are coming on Monday, then you stick to your weight loss goal and weigh in on Monday morning before they come over! If you are going to party on Saturday and Sunday, eat what you want, but try to stick to your RDI calorie limit. If it was me, I would drink lots of water for 0 calories instead of alcoholic drinks. :)

Weigh yourself before they come over. Stick to one day to party and enjoy yourself with moderation. Rum and diet coke aren't too bad for calories or wine spritzers (wine and sparkling water)or even lite beer. You have to decide what's more important to you. If you go out you could bring your own food that's lower in calories or have a few low cal dishes at your house if everyone comes over. Grill some chicken, tastes great and low cals.
