Yup! Brownies were my official "You are Out of Control" moment. Made a 13x9 pan. Never ate a whole Brownie, but the the pan was empty. I had "just a little bited" my way thru the whole thing! I was shocked and angry.

Why are you making those things?
|
Don't beat yourself up! I'm glad that you recognize your weakness and decided not to make those cookies. Change takes time, and your mistake was only a small setback. Maybe you can burn those calories with the extra time you now have ☺️

Sharing this is the first step, this is a supportive platform and we all have different "come to Jesus" moments. I do agree with HK3, keep pans and trays of temptations OUT of the house!

Forgiveness first, study it, understand it and move on. There are lots of bumps in the road in this journey. When you fall off, you just get back on.

I just can't bake any more. It makes me feel sad, but I feel even worse when I do and then eat so much. I have so little self control around sweets.

My self control has to happen before I make, or even so, as in: DON'T! I have no flour or sugar in the house any more, not even any oatmeal. No flour = no baking.

Yeah I feel ya… I’ve been known to eat a box of yasso bars in one go… those things are the devil (cookie dough ones) I buy them in bulk like 6-7 boxes at a time in case I have one of my (episodes) :)

It happens. You're human - the fact that you're getting right back on track is what's important in the long run. I used to bake tons of Christmas cookies. I hgave a wa y alot, but I also ate way too many myself. This year, I told my family to pick one type of cookie - that is all I am making. We'll have a little treat while they last, then it's back to business.

Cheater, Cheater Brownie Eater Low Carb Brownies
You guessed it, Low carb at it's finest! CHOCOLATE!!!!
Ingredients
2 servings great value olive oil cooking spray
1/2 serving wal mart great value no calorie stevia
4 servings madhava coconut sugar
1 serving hodgson mill coconut flour
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 large egg
4 oz cream cheese
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
Directions
Blend cream cheese, eggs, and heavy cream in blender. Add in other ingredients slowly. You may need to pulse it after all are added, to complete blending.
Spray a non stick pan with cooking spray. (Must be WELL sprayed) Pour on batter. Cook at 350 for 15 - 20 minutes, depending on your oven.
Coconut flour is 1/4 cup, Coconut sugar is 4 tsp, Stevia is 1/2 cup. This tastes a lot like chocolate cheesecake (wonder why???) Really tastes like my Mom's homemade chocolate pudding.

Thanks for all the support everyone!! HK3 for Christmas gifts but I guess I'm better off giving non-food items 😳 Thanks again for the comments and advice everyone!! It definitely cheered me up!! Hopefully next time I can step back and stop myself. Or better yet not even get in that situation to begin with! I'm going to give my kitty extra love because I think he's still in shock from witnessing my brownie inhale of 2021. Here goes today!! On to doing much better!!

Its not about how many times we fall down. Its how many times we get back up. Never give up. Just put it behind you and move on.
