I finally finished moving everything to my new house, I am so happy to be done with that! of course I still have to finish making my new home pretty and put everything away but the big stuff is done. It took me 5 days of moving!!!

I was planning to continue most, if not all of my workouts during the move but my body was completely exhausted from moving big furniture and I was mentally exhausted from the stress. So I did day 1 of week 3 and none of the others after that. So this week I will be repeating week 3 and then moving on to week 4 after that.

My diet wasn't great last week either. It wasn't so much the food I was eating that was bad, but I was drinking all my calories! I wanted caffeine for the sleep deprivation so coffee and soda was my thing. Starbucks was my best friend and worst enemy last week.

Of course I felt disgusting the whole time, like I was gaining a pound per day. I had no energy and I felt so guilty that I wasn't working out. The stress along with the guilt was making me sooo cranky and it was taking a toll on me and my husband (LOL poor thing). I couldn't wait to press play again!

Today was day one of week 3 part 2 :) and it was great! I finally had the t.v. plugged in and I had my dumbells and I was ready to go. I realized that my pullup bar was still at the old house so I did arms and shoulders instead of chest and back, and of course arms and shoulders is my favorite one! I noticed that I did better than I ever have before. I don't know if it's the fact that I wanted to get back into it so bad or if it's the whole "rest week" thing to give your muscles a chance to heal....I don't know...but I felt like I was killing that workout! I wasn't feeling the burn till about rep #16, so I was doing 20+ reps on mostly everything (I think it's time to go up in weight on the dumbells). And with the ARX I got through to scissors without a break, normally I'm already taking a break after bycicles. I was able to do the oblique V thingy with no problem, of course I felt the burn but I did all reps with no modifications! I was so proud of myself!!!

So this stuff really is working :). I'm so happy to be back on track and to be in my new home! I knew this move was happening soon and I knew it was going to interfere with my workouts, I was even expecting to skip a day or two of workouts but I never thought it was going to get in the way of 5 days!!! Moving is a lot tougher than I expected and I don't want to do it again for a long time. Either way, I'm glad it's over and I'm glad I can continue to go forward now. Tomorrow I have a date with Plyos...EEEESH!!!

If you read all this babbling you deserved a nice, fresh out of the oven, chocolate chip cookie! :)

Artemis, I'd venture a guess that you are probably more on track than you may think. Moving furniture and carrying boxes is a workout in and of itself. While it may not be P90X it still is exercise and a long lasting, all day kind of thing. You probably burned more calories than a P90X workout would in the long run. You know that it was a break for a good reason and not just because you were "cheating" the program. If you want to continue with the groups I have set up I can go back in and change the Phase II one and extend it one week so you can keep up with your stats and do the same for the last phase. Just let me know...I really hope you consider it as I enjoy reading your posts and seeing that you and I are having similar thoughts. Makes me feel justified in my thought about the program. Take care and just keep brining it!!
