holy cow!! 300+ calories for one avocado?!?!?!? I thought I was being all awesome and healthy until I logged it in. I guess that's what I get for not planning my menu down to my afternoon snack. Oh well, at least it wasn't a brownie (still leftover from my birthday) or Easter candy. Plus I actually only ate half of what I had planned for dinner. I didn't realize how filling each frittata slice was going to be. Tomorrow will be difficult to plan out my day of eating since I will be travelling for work and most likely eating out for lunch and then I have a retirement reception to attend. I just need to remember to make wise choices and not give in to the high fat (super yummy) foods. I'm going to pack a protein bar, an apple, and a banana to eat before lunch and before dinner so that I don't go into those meals feeling ravenous.

Another question: Am I really burning 1536 calories by doing nothing but sleeping and resting all day?

avocado is very good nutrionally and tasty too :) It may have fat but it's fat that does good stuff for ya. You do still have to be mindful of calories whether the food is considered healthy or not. Enjoy that avocado!! :)

Ikr? I use to eat anavacado for breakfast along with some other fruit, totally something I changed. I love them and plan to revert once I'm in maintenance and have the calories to spend on them =)

Mine is around 1300 on all the places I've looked so with me FS seems fairly accurate.

Remember that avocado is a healthy saturated fat. I love 'em! (But try to limit it to 1/2 when I have it). I saw a recipe for Avocado Ice Cream that I'm going to try (maybe tastes like creamy Pistachio?).

Avocados have excellent nutrition, and they are good carbs :) So no worries!

just a side note BMR is what your body needs in a coma.. no activity at all.. just laying there.. in a coma.. you are better off to calculate your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure) and subtract a modest deficit (about 500 or less).. heres a good place to look (cut and paste in your browser) - www.health-calc.com
