Your own Egg McMuffin, English muffin, slice of cheese, sausage patty and fried egg. I buy organic English muffins from Kroger, use Gruyere cheese, either sausage/bacon/ham and egg from my hens. Yummy and quick.

oatmeal (can mix in different fruits) or grits (can mix in different veggies). The idea is to have an inexpensive, easy base to the meal that you can add different things to for variety!

Dry toast and a fruit cup in it’s own juice, or my favorite 1/2c . Grape nut cereal with a packet of sweetener and 1/2 cup of skim milk

I used to love scrambled eggs. But now save that for special occasion. I depend on a soft poached eggs most days. Easy, hot item that can go on anything. I Blanch my veggie also, this way my first meal is easier on my digestive system.
Put the poached egg on it.
These days I prefer a warm or hot breakfast.
Hubs like his veggie omelet. I prep the filling the night before. I don't want to work that hard cooking the 1st meal. Especially, when I can't have coffee yet.

For me, sweets in the morning don't work. Even if I put a shot of sugar free flavor in my coffee it triggers cravings and I feel hungrier. I like vegetables in the morning followed by a protein shake.

Hermit58, what are you blending your protein shake with if you're not on sugar sub? Decades of diet coke messed up my system. I quit diet coke more then years ago, based on drs recommendations.

Hermit58,- using a power protein whey powder chocolate flavor , oat milk and a banana. I do not have them often - maybe 1 time a week or less. If I add any sweetener it Splenda- which I was told to use by my doctor.
