OK....6 weeks no real scale movement. I have started back the FatSmash diet. It worked for me to lose weight before getting pregnant with my son Travis, so hoping it will help me jump start. It requires me to focus on eating certain foods and not others, etc. My sister is doing it with me. Kind of fudged Saturday because I had a salad with meat and the first 9 days of detox are no meat.

Super windy here in Texas, lots of wild fires out in the western part of the state and panhandle. I brought my walking dvd to work and did 2 miles during lunch in my office. Hopeing tomorrow wind won't be so bad and can walk outside again.

I finally had my ob appointment Friday. He requested some bloodwork, also having to chart my cycle, how I feel sluggish, cravings, etc. Will go back to see him in 4 months with the chart plus what he finds if anything with blood work to see if we can figure out why I am so sluggish, have no drive, moody, emotional, can't seem to lose weight, etc. I had gained 17 pounds since last ob appoint which was 14 months ago. He was glad I had not gotten back to 205 pounds which was where I was in 2006-07 but did want to figure out why I wasn't having success like in 2009 and what has caused me to stop losing and start gaining again. Mainly he was concerned about why I had no energy, mind seemed to not be able to focus. Told him I used to multi-task, now I can't seem to even complete one task. Also went over how by 9 I am ready for bed and just want to sleep, nothing else. Been really frustrating for me and now starting to frustrate my husband because he thinks I am fine the way I look, but understands I want to lose, but wants me to stop stressing so much about it, worrying what others are saying, how they are losing and being jealous, etc.

Here is to trying to start focusing and writing down what I eat so I can see where the slip ups are happening.
180.2 lb Lost so far: 14.6 lb.    Still to go: 55.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

sounds hormonal to me. I have so many of those symptoms...stinks

I have done that diet and it worked really well for me. It got me started losing weight two years ago, and helped me bust out of bad eating habits. I didn't stick with it past the initial phase, but it was great in "Phase 1." My favorite meal was the "Fake Fried Rice" thing--it's on this site and on the internet. It's brown rice, a pack of frozen stir-fry veggies (sauteed or spruced up with fresh ginger or garlic or whatever you have) and then an egg. The diet says to only eat egg whites but I think egg whites are goofy so I had a whole egg. Good luck. I am guessing you will feel a lot better if you start eating more healthy, whole foods. And, if not, then you will know something else is up. Always good to start with healthy eating and go from there.

I just need something to keep me on track and thought FatSmash kind of gives me that you can/can't eat approach. Not a lot of counting points (I don't understand the new WW system and can't do my points like I used to know). Will see. Next week will be tough because at Houston Livestock show Mon-Thur so will be packing lots of food with me.
