Happy Hump Day FS Friends! Hope you have a terrific day.

I had a hard time waiting a whole week to step back on the new scale, but wanted to try it instead of weighing daily. Was shocked with the results, but really pleased that being careful and trying not to give into cravings (especially at night) paid off. I know a portion of it is due to taking a round of steroids this week, but combined with careful eating & portion control, it was a successful week nonetheless. It's encouraging to see downward movement, and an incentive to continue being careful & mindful.

Would appreciate any comments/suggestions on what works best for you regarding how often you weigh yourself. Every day? Mon/Wed/Fri? Once a week? I'm not sure I can wait an entire week again...I'm too curious now to see if I'm making positive progress, but I also don't want to get discouraged if I regress. Thanks for your opinions.

I appreciate the support this community provides, and take encouragement from other's progress...and their downfalls too. Either way, I can take something away to integrate into my journey, so thanks for your honest sharing.

We CAN do this! Keep up the fight and stay encouraged. Have a good rest of the week.

Nice drop!! I weigh weekly. I used to weigh daily and I would go nuts if my weight went up while I was really adhering to my new WOE. So I switched to weekly weight ins with the hope that I am less likely to see a gain. So far so good for me!

I originally set a goal to weigh in once a week because I didn't want to obsess over every fluctuation on the scale. Now that I'm closer to my goal the fluctuations bug me less and I weigh a few times a week out of curiosity. A good plan is to always weigh at the same time of day and in similar clothing.

Thanks bdixon1989 & redgmm! I appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. You're right about obsessing over daily fluctuations, and I can't afford negative self-talk at this point. Trying not to do that to myself any more, as it's so counter-productive. It was hard to wait a week, but I think I'll attempt it again this week. Just a little scared that if it's not a loss next Wed. that it'll be very discouraging. But it would tell me that I didn't do my best every day, so I guess that would be needed anyway. Btw...I also so weigh at the same time and in my birthday suit...Thanks for the tips.. Have a great week! 😉 🥬🍋🥗🥚🍊

I usually weigh once a week. Very occasionally more often when I know I'm doing really well. Last week I had an "off the rails" day and chose not to weigh at all last week so next weigh Saturday will be after two weeks. When I've weighed more frequently, seeing gains after good calorie intake and lots of activity was very demotivating. When I look back on why I went off the wagon after starting a program of healthier eating, frequent weighing with discouraging results have been a major factor.

Gr8 drop!!! I weigh once weekly and take it with a grain of salt. Any more and I overeat when down and under eat when up, even though I know daily fluctuations are normal. Do what ever works for you are you are comfortable with.
