Modiggi's Journal, 10 January 2014

Stepped on the scale this morning and read 409.4. My mini goal is to drop out of the Frightening 400's by the end of January. If I can do that I feel like the momentum will be in my favor. Its a big psychological milestone to get out of the 4's for me. Two years ago I worked my butt off and got down to 376 and I swore I'd never get back up into the 4's, but here I am. So getting this small step out of the way will be the biggest motivator for me to keep going.

My first week working to lose weight has been not so much a plan but a conscious effort to make better choices. Instead of getting in my car to go to the shop around the block, I'll walk. Instead of McDonalds, grab a salad. When I did have a moment of weakness and went to Wendy's *that red-headed temptress* I got a grilled chicken wrap, no fries and no drink. I've also had more Green Tea in the past 5 days than I had in all of 2013.

One day at a time, one good choice after another.
409.4 lb Lost so far: 4.6 lb.    Still to go: 209.4 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

You're doing great and not far from your goal. I know you're going to do it! I'm trying to get my water in today and it's so hard to do that at work--LOL. The ladies here ordered out and I was going to order a salad, but the salad had too much "junk" in it (eggs, cheese, olives, pickles). Too much salt and fat for me. I could have just had the lettuce and grilled chicken, but why pay ten bucks for that? So, I am eating one teaspoon of peanut butter on one slice of pumpernickel--LOL. Looking forward to reading your posts!
