This is starting to feel like a joke.

you've been holding steady for awhile now, maybe it's time to switch things up? you could maybe give yourself a day of higher calories to show your body you're not starving. then go back to what you were doing and it is likely things will happen again.

Yes, I think so. In the beginning of my weight loss, I found that the occasional higher calorie meal would result in an unexpected drop; however, I’ve not had the same experience lately and higher calorie days tend to result in gains on the scale. I think I need to switch up my plan.

You're at a plateau...when that happens to me, I try one of several things: If my calories limit is already at a safe deficit that can also keep away the fake hunger signs (i.e. me being bored or stressed), I'll have one day a week of eating 300-500 cals over just to relax. Alternatively, I might just uptick my cardio and cut back on weights. If my deficit is not at it's safest low point, I'll drop it further (I maintain at 1900, sometimes deficit to 1700 or 1600, but I can do 1500 if I really need. Anything lower is too dangerous for me although vaguely 'safe') Could be diet too. Make sure you're getting enough protein and healthy fats levelled out with vegetables. Honestly, plateaus are a crapshoot - you just gotta mix things up a bit more than you think WHILE being at a safe deficit.

For reference too, it could be water weight; your body might just be holding a lot of it. I flux between 1-5lbs sometimes based on water weight. Example, I weighed 132lbs yesterday and today I'm at 128.6 soooo....? Also, if you're eating at too big of a deficit, that's definitely not doing you any favours. Don't listen to that 1200 crap, that harms more than you think. Reasonably you should only be at most at 300 cals below TDEE and make up the rest of the effort with more cardio maybe

Are your clothes feeling looser? Sometimes plateaus happen on the scales, but not in our clothes.
