I don't know what it's like to be sent to see a psychologist, and maybe feel like you being put on the spot, but I do know what it's like to struggle with an ED, especially at your age. I know it's hard, but if you have disordered eating it's better to get it sorted sooner ❤️ be kind to yourself Love and light to you

If u do gain weight it's not the end of the world. Heal that metabolism so it can speed up to eat a normal amount again. Body adapts quickly and will just drop the extra anyway

Get help first and then worry about the weight. I've been on antidepressants that have really increased my appetite and then on top of that, I comfort eat, especially when I'm anxious, which is almost all the time 🤦‍♀️ I'm first focusing on my mental health, then I'll worry about my weight issue. Don't know what you are going through but be kind to yourself and don't be afraid to seek help. It's incredibly admirable and brave. One day at a time 💚🧡💙💛

Hi @Redgirl12_3 , I went through your old posts and see that you are 1.78m, that puts your BMI at 18.75 which is extremely low even for very small bone structure. How old are you? Please be save and look after yourself! I think seeing a professional will be good for you! I don't know you, but I would love for you to be healthy!

@CapeTownHealthy i’m 179cm and im 18 years old, my bmi atm is 18.4 which looks low, but i still have fat on my legs, arms, hips and other places on my body that isn’t healthy fat, so im still trying to loose that weight. my parents want me to start seeing someone so that i can gain weight because to them im becoming too thin, and if im being honest with myself i do have issues, but even knowing my bmi is healthy, its still difficult to think about gaining weight and not hating my body for that if that makes sense?

I would urge you to get help. You have lost a lot of weight and that will look like fat in some places, but could be a combination of a bit of excess skin as well. You should have muscle on you to counter the weight loss. You are very tall and if your family is concerned for you then you should look after yourself. Please talk to a professional, your BMI is extremely low. I just want you to be safe!
