is anyone else afraid to log their weight even when they lost weight? my weight is this morning was 58.9 kgs which is half a kilo down from a few days ago but i’m scared to log it because i don’t want to gain weight and have to log it as a gain again

It’s scary and discouraging, yes! But it’s also a good way to track what foods your body enjoys and help you reach your goals, and what foods it doesn’t and therefore you must eat modestly.

Definitely scared. I’m convinced that it’s an omen. Every time I log my weight in the 69s, I eat bad and climb back into the dreadful 70s. 😂 it’s like I’m doomed. I have now decided that when I finally make it into the 60s, I will make sure to get to atleast 69.5 before I even log it on the app 💀

@thilesha it was so difficult for me to break the 70 mark becaude i felt like i was stuck on 69 and 70 for a while and now that im at 58.8 i dont want to log it because i dont want to go up again and get discouraged

I think you’re doing AMAZING. I am obsessive when it comes to weighing in, and that is why I have a lot of losses and subsequent gains. I would suggest that if you haven’t already, weigh once a week or even once every two weeks.. this should eliminate the chances for any drastic gains after you record your losses. Good luck red girl. You have put into words that I'm feeling everytime I weigh in...terrified of what I will see and if I will be able to maintain it and keep working to my end weight. I just keep telling myself that the few 100 grams I'm losing is sustainable. Love the Fatsecret community, we are all here to cheer each other on

Preach - any loss I see as fleeting and also feel like any weight fluctuations are hormonal. Don’t gaslight yourself though! You’re putting in the work and gains can happen; it’s ok

omg I'm the opposite 🤪I never record a gain,🙈 i get discouraged and start feeling so unmotivated so I don't record gains. when I do I work hard to get back or lower🤭😜

Remember that the weight loss graph will always be zigzagging :) I only ever really look at how much weight I lost over two weeks. But yes - it’s never cool when the needle goes the other way. But it’s perfectly normal.

This happened to me this morning and I feel so nervous for tomorrow morning because I just have a feeling I’ll have gain that little bit of weight back🙈
