Kind of a stupid question but this is the type of thing I tend not to notice....until I do. I’ve been on this app 5 months and I don’t know what the colours on our bars indicate. I’ve noticed green, orange/red, and blue...what do they mean?!

They just indicate where you are on your weight-loss trajectory. The order is red, orange, yellow, green, blue. Green means you've almost reached your goal. Blue means you're pretty much there.

I had a week or so off track because I had daily migraines and ate too much of what makes me feel good at the time (mainly carbs). I gained a few pounds and this week committed to getting back on track and dropping that weight. Thank you for the encouragement!

Tig28 I know that a very low carb diet has successfully been used by some people to rid themselves completely and permanently of migraines.

I have heard that as well. I have focused on reducing my carbs this year for weight loss and general well being (carbs make me bloat and feel uncomfortable), but when I’m feeling unwell, they offer (temporary) comfort and satisfaction. I should try to chart whether there is a correlation between carb intake and migraine occurrence.

I don't know your age or your gender, but in my experience, migraines were much worse when taking an oral contraceptive pill with estrogen, and when taking post-menopausal hormone replacement therapy with estrogen, for hot flashes. Getting off all supplemental estrogen was a big help to reducing frequency of migraines. I believe that soy products and soya beans act as phytoestrogens (plant based natural estrogen like molecules), so avoiding these foods might be helpful. If you are not taking any of those things, but are a premenopausal woman, then your natural estrogen cycles may aggravate your migraines, as can alcohol, and barometric pressure changes. Have you had a prescription for a migraine specific medication, such as Imitrex? There are a bunch of medications in this class of drugs, that are very very good in treating migraines for the vast majority of migraine sufferers. They are not addicting, they are not simple pain killers, they work on the serotonin levels in the brain that cause blood vessels to dilate and constrict, which is part of the theory about how migraines occur. Also, eating a diet that keeps your blood sugar stable (which means avoiding fasting and avoiding higher sugar levels) will help prevent migraines. Good luck.
