Right...so after an awesome run this weekend and doing some weight training and honestly eatting right..my weight has gone up.

I am trying to attribute this to doing weights for the last month and not having done them previously. I know that my body will retain some water when I do weights and I build muscle easily...but I don't want to say that's it, if I am truly gaining.. I tell ya.

So last night I decided to try writing out what I would eat in terms of calories for the week, then break it up. I figure this works for my running, so should work here too.

Today was set at 1800 cals which is lower than normal for me since I run so much..but I feel full:

6AM - 5 Mile Run, 20 Min Walk
Breakfast:
High protein oatmeal
Walnuts
Apple

Snack:
String Cheese
Cookie

Lunch:
Beans, Onions, mushrooms, greens
2 Chicken meatballs
Granola Bar

Snack:
Yogurt
1 TBSP PB

PM: 2 Mile Run, 15 Minute Walk
Dinner:
Egg Beaters
2 Cups Whole Wheat Cereal
Soy Milk
138.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 10.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 5.3 lb a week

Are you sure you are eating enough to sustain that level of activity? If you eat too few calories, your body will go into starvation mode and store fat. There are a couple of good calorie estimators out there, one is on realage.com and on on mypyramid.com. I found out I was eating too few calories...kicked it up a little and started losing again. Eating too few calories when exercising vigorously is really not good for you.

Previously I've been eating about 2200 a day..so I thought, I'd try to cut back and see if that helps... just can't get rid of these last few pounds!
