Steven Lloyd's Journal, 21 August 2020

So...still below set weight at the very bottom of my 5 pound weight window with upper body as light and weak as its ever been but core and legs near all time best as far as sustained strength - power goes.

In the fall I will have to buckle down and add back some upper body strength before ski season, with TRX and Nordic track replacing some bike training sessions...hopefully that will sort things out.

Bike stats Year to Date:
Distance 9,422.6 kms
Elevation Gained 66,422m
Time 288 hr 12m
Rides 219

Also have 25 plus rounds of golf walking in (at 9kms per round), carrying a 26 pound golf bag on all but a few rounds. Not a great workout but lots of steps and still burning more calories than watching TV.

Take care all,
Steve

Great work!! What do you use to track your bike rides?

WOW - I can see more muscle and the leaning out more than past years. Amazing with the bicycling and of course I know your ski routine in Winter. So great, Steven!

You are very kind DP, my upper body strength and size (lean weight) is down relatively speaking of course but still Ok'ish...and I agree, that closet is a keeper, my better half has it very organized.

Ryan, I use a Garmin Vivosmart 3 (heartrate and gps), Zwift (Wahoo kickr smart trainer) and a Wahoo Bolt to track ride data and all data uploads to Strava. I track all rides, some workouts, activities, hikes, long walks, etc. Strava and Garmin Connect have some useful fitness tracking metrics if you're serious about training.

Thanks Helen, I might not have told you this but my first long plateau in the first half year was so much easier after watching you power through one of yours. Thanks again for being a great inspiration (along with a few others) to us "younger folks".

Thanks Steven, I do use a Garmin Vivoactive HR, it does a good job of logging bike rides and GPS the routes. Was looking for a few more features, great for GPS on the golf course too. Keep up the hard work man, it gives me the push me to get out there.
