Good morning!

Actually, it's very late morning here, 11:21 AM as I am typing this.

It's been a very nice, fun, and downright charming morning.

I started off with NOT waking up too early, as I'm on vacation. Then my weigh-in said I am down 700 grams from yesterday, reaching 81 kilos. Still on the high end, but not bad. I can live with 81 on a sunny Tuesday. :)

Then I went on my morning walk, and Wife wanted to come. It's always great when she joins me, it's nice to have the company. The sun is shining, it's nicely warm but not TOO hot, and it's just great.

Then, on the way home, we shopped for a PROPER breakfast, country cooking style.

See, eating within the 8 hour window instead of all day makes it easier to do these things. Essentially, I have only planned two meals today, and if I keep the snacks inbetween to a minimum (which I will), then it's easy.

So breakfast at 11 AM was hash browns, eggs overeasy, links and bacon. Ketchup and hot sauce on top. Nice, huh?



We were actually talking about adding pancakes, but agreed that it'd be overkill and that we couldn't possibly eat it. LOL.

Picking the right links (beef, low fat) made the calories much lower than expected, and the whole thing came out to 673 calories. Not bad for such a feast.

See, this what what I love about the 8 hour feeding window. I get to do things like this much easier than I normally would. I still have 1400 calories that I could spend today, but I most likely won't.

Actually, I think dinner is gonna be around 500 calories, give or take. Not too much. Then I'll simply stop there, unless I want some fruit through the day or something. Even if the sun i shining and it's all nice outside I'm not gonna go get ice cream today. If anything a walk with a diet soda to accompany me, but I'm on a mission here, and tired of failing it.

I have a goal to reach.

On August 9th, I'm gonna go see my surgeons. I would really like to have a nice, low weight on that date, and it's coming up SO SOON!

It's not urgent. I'm already qualified for the surgery, and I know I have way less body fat today than I did when they qualified me. But I'd like to be my best shape for that appointment, and I've been lingering 5-7 kilos higher than I am comfortable with the last month or so.

So the mission is to keep my eye on the ball and just drop those kilos. It's easy enough for me. Just eat right. Don't do impromptu Indulgence Days, and hold back on the obvious stupid food choices.

That's about all.

See, yesterday was easy. I ended up at 1280 calories, I had a very small ice cream with Wife (hey, it's vacation time – don't judge!), and the food choices were all great. I finished eating at 3:30 PM yesterday, as I went teaching in the afternoon/evening.

This made me a little more hungry today, as it was a long break from dinner yesterday to breakfast today – 19½ hours. Breakfast was welcome today, and so deliscious!



The rest of the day will be pure relaxation. No plans at all. We might just hang at home, watching tv, or I might go check out the town some more. I don't know – there are no plans. Just enjoying being off from work.



Today, I'm thankful for:
- Wife!
- Wife mentioning "The Lumberjack Special" this morning, and us having such an awesome breakfast.
- Wife joining the morning walk.
- Vacation!
- Sunshine!
- Coffee!
- Control! I feel super confident about my calories today. I'm in charge.

Your breakfast look delicious. I am sure you will make your mission. You are very goal oriented when you set your mind to it and you know what to do and are doing it. And doing it while on vacation, which is even more challenging so kudos to you my friend. Enjoy that sunshine and time off with wifey. And I am sure there will be another few hundred grams off tomorrow. The two meal a day/ 8 hour eating window WOE/WOL definitely works for us. And it's great that it's flexible ie you can move your 8 hours around to fit whatever's going on in your life. Chat with your tomorrow. So keep that August date in mind as you make careful healthy fun choices for the next few days :)

Maybe that should be a new thing... Tormenting everyone with delish food photos. You do it already just describing your dishes, Pam. :)

Looks good but proper country breakfasts have sausage gravy on the side.... I'm just sayin'... LOL
