Hollyruth's Journal, 06 June 2013

I just bought the book "You on a Diet" and it talks a lot about inflamation in our bodies, what causes it, etc. I think it is very well written and enjoyed reading it. It brought to mind that I always feel bloated when I eat too many carb (wheat) and I do eat a lot of dairy (cheese, cheese, etc) - I went to the Dr. this week and weighed in on her scale at 266 - when I got home I weighed 263 today I am down to 258 as I have been dairy and wheat free since Monday. I actually feel my stomach less full - I have another appointment in two weeks, and have decided to also be wine free until that time. I just want to see how much bloat I have. We will also be talking about different IBS symptoms that I have been having since March...may also be something related to the foods I eat to much of. Oh, and I exercised 30 minutes each day this week, and it just feels good to somewhat be taking care of me.

It sounds like an interesting book. I feel the same way with too many carbs. Even as a guy, bloating is an issue for me with the wrong sorts of foods. Let us know more about the book once you have a chance to absorb the material a bit more! Thanks!
