Hi Celtic, I am one of those people that have been on hydroxychloroquine for 20 years. I have my blood work checked every couple months as well as my eyes once a year and they watch for any problems that it might cause. I have not had any kind of virus or flu in 20 years. Whatever it does in my system seems to be working to keep me from getting sick. My husband and I do missionary work to Haiti and always use chloroquine to keep from getting malaria or treat it if we get sick. I've only had it once 20 years ago. A couple of times he got it and used chloroquine when he got it and he was over it very quickly. There are several people on here with autoimmune diseases that are also on chloroquine.

I hope they find ways to treat this virus safely. Thank you for your information.
