Eternallyvernal's Journal, 13 September 2010

Today is my first day on Fatsecret. I am hoping that it will be the inspiration to keep me motivated this time. I'm not sure what we are supposed to post in the journal? What we eat and do for exercise?

So, I guess I am basically a Weight-watcher type of gal, but this time, I think I'll follow the main principals, but without the points system. I know it so well, but keeping track of points is, well, a pita. I totally agree that keeping track of what you eat is necessary, but this time, I think I will keep track of calories and working out instead on fatsecret. My plan is to eat 1500 or less calories a day, and to work out at least an hour a day.

When I did WW before, I created my own Excel SS which kept track of my points (I downloaded the points formula). It actually had a DB that I could use to automatically add daily items, and it kept track of the calories as well as points. I realized when I was under 150 (I used the old method of WW), that you really are only allowed about 1200 calories a day if you want to keep losing. So for now I try 1500, as I get closer to 150 we shall see.
170.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 25.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Right there with you... I swear my husband has a tape worm. It takes everything to try to stay a reasonable amount of pounds below him. Makes me feel like Jack Sprat and his wife! Don't worry, it will catch up with them eventually!!
