Happy Monday, everyone. I survived going to the movies with NO popcorn yesterday. Believe me, it was tough. I felt the urge to run to the concession stand for at least the first hour of Ad Astra. Of course, the movie wasn't very interesting so there's that excuse. I made it through 4 days of Mary's mini-diet and I'm learning a lot about hunger; what it is, how it feels. I keep thinking of that old Weight Watchers adage, "If you aren't hungry enough to eat an apple, you aren't hungry." For me, I WAS really hungry yesterday at various times but really, really, didn't want to eat potatoes and veggies. I ate them anyway because I had to have food and I felt satisfied afterwards. It takes a long time to undo a lifetime of conditioning and food addiction. On a bright note, I have reached my first goal of getting back below 210 by October 1st.
