I'm getting tired of this yo-yoing! I just want to get down to 142-143 and stay there. I'm going to try to ride my bike a 100 miles on Saturday so I won't be doing any drastic calorie cutting until aftr the weekend. I have usually completed 2 century rides by this time of the summer and haven't done any yet this summer. Looking forward to spending a day on the bike with friends.

I hear you! I think it is the socializing. I was doing well until I went on my road trip and confronted with lots of yummy choices, wine, popcorn and tons of shrimp! I hope that we will both be down by the end of the week. BTW - we are looking at twin homes in SF - they look promising! I bought a new subaru so we are hoping to view when we go to pick it up - they are putting on a hitch, kayak racks, and custom leather seats for me! YEAH We are not yoyos!

Just took a bubble bath and read a few chapters in Women, Food, and God! It was just what I needed! I feel good again. I refuse to get into a cycle of self-loathing built around food. I had a good time, I ate, and now I am ready to treat myself to healthy foods that will make me feel good and taste wonderful - crab stuffed sole and asparagus tonight. Who could feel deprived?

You are doing great CathyJo....! Wow...a 100 miles ride - that's a long trip but sounds fun!! Was going to borrow my son's bike and see how I made out with it...but he customed ordered it and it's for a 6'4" person...way too big for me at 5'9...I might just have to buy one...! Good luck on Saturday! huggggs
