I made a devils food cake yesterday and couldn't quite add what I made to the daily food log. I made it with half stevia sugar and half regular sugar and no frosting just a bit of cool whip. So my calories and carbs should read a little different on my log.
270.6 lb Lost so far: 19.4 lb.    Still to go: 125.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I use SWERVE, but same thing. I like to bake and it is a good way to remove some of the carbs. A HEALTHIER product not perfect. Mine yesterday was a peach pie using all sugar substitute and not one person noticed the difference.

Yes Kenna Morton it is not perfect but better than alternative. I am I have been have a sweet tooth cravings. I am using up the rest of my stevia and then I am looking for another sweetner. Thank you for the swerve suggestion. I will be looking for that real soon.

Try Allulose - it's 70% as sweet as table sugar but has zero glycemic index and tastes like sugar, no bitterness or cooling sensation. I buy Hoosier Hill Farms brand on Amazon.

I do not eat these types of things often. One thing I have seen happen is that people get into a mindset of since this has fewer calories I can eat twice as much. When I bake treats/deserts for company or to take to an event I cook to the number of people I am serving. I do not plan for second helpings or leftovers. If it is something like cookies I will try to do little individual decorative packages and present the desert in a pretty basket. If the item lends itself to individual servings I will do that. It at least makes me feel better that I am not overly contributing or enabling the eating habits of some of my obese diabetic friends.

Kenna Morton, I do not eat this way all the time either. I like it once and then I am done with it. I plan on freezing the rest today for another day down the road. I mostly had put this post as to why my calories and carbs for the day were over and I could not actually put in my daily log what I made.
