logana1's Journal, 08 August 2010

It's hard to stay on track of a diet when you're out with your family have fun, everyone is snacking and drinking and having a good time. That is the big thing about this diet for me. I don't want to stop being me around everyone.

When I was in college, I originally started taking classes to earn a degree in nutrition. I had one professor who was particularly hard about every topic, but the one thing he stressed is "I haven't known anyone who didn't like chocolate cake or had a favorite weakness food that they love to eat, the key is to eat it in moderation."

I haven't really drank since I started doing this journal, but a few times. Last night I got silly lol. But it was fun and harmless really. I didn't have to drink that many to get drunk and have a great time either, which to me in the back of my mind goes like this, "Great! That means I'm consuming less mindless calories as I was before when I use to drink a lot!"

Weird, I know.

But I attribute the recent 2 lbs weight gain to being bloated, dehydrated and slight over eating. Even with 2 hours in the pool playing football with my 8 year old hopefully future nephew.

A few days ago I responded to a post about liking cottage cheese, and with what add ins. I got the tip of buying Nancy's cottage cheese. Went to my local co op as soon as pay day hit and treated myself to some goat cheese, fruits, and other random items, and low and behold, Nancy's cottage cheese was to be found. I have one word to describe this brand of cottage cheese...are you ready? NOM! OM NOM NOM NOM NOM!

That's more than one word, but delicious.

That's all for today. Company picnic this afternoon, planning on keeping it light.

EDIT!: OOOO I forgot, I bought a food scale yesterday :)
