@Mykahlia, there are quite a few vegetarian protein shakes on the market if you decide to try that route. I prefer the ones combining rice and pea or similar to get a good amino acids profile. You can add fruit if you’re using a blender. But whey is often more economical and there are a huge number to choose from; possibly easier for you to digest if it is free of casein and lactose. (I have casein issues.)
