Still stalled:( I don't understand with the amount of weight I have to lose and how carefully I've been following the diet why I haven't lost a pound in several days now. It's really getting frustrating but I am not quitting! I am on Day 11 and lost a total of 6 pounds in the first 7 days now nada. I am going to manually write down everything I eat with carb counts from the packages instead of going off of this site's tool and see if there is something I am missing. I will weigh everything out on my food scale to make sure I'm not off on my measurements. I thought maybe it was my creamer so I switched to sugar free torani syrup and heavy cream in my coffee last weekend. I'm going to eat more salads, maybe that will help and I haven't been drinking water like I should. I've never been a big water drinker so that's always a challenge. I know I should exercise but got a little one that is too big for the stroller and too small to keep up on walks and will not let me do a DVD without clinging/climbing on me and no longer takes naps...can't wait til Pre-K next Fall!
219.0 lb Lost so far: 6.0 lb.    Still to go: 94.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

This happens for many. Keep going, be patient. You've lost a lot of water weight - along with some fat - the first days. Now you are still losing fat, but the water is rebalancing. That could easily be why you don't see a loss. The water is canceling out the fat. No need to worry, if you know for a fact that you are consuming less calories than you burn then you WILL lose fat. Promise. :)

I understand not being able to exercise without the little one hanging on to your leg!! I always have to wait till he's asleep and tbh I'm usually too tired to start a DVD at that stage..! Take measurements of your body in inches, even though it may not be showing on the scale you could still be shrinking so don't get discouraged! Keep going :)

Hi Megansundevil! Are you sticking to the 20-25 net carb daily? Are you eating 12-15 net carbs of veggies each day? How much water are you drinking each day? If you could give a detailed list of what you eat each day I might be able to help.

I am 39 yrs old Female started diet on Dec. 30th lost a total of 6 pounds so far. (SW 225, CW 219, GW 125) 5'4 I am not taking any medications No health issues other than high cholesterol but am not taking meds for it. I know I don't have a thyroid issue, nor do I have diabetes, or anything else...all were tested at same time. What I usually eat: Breakfast 2 large eggs, scrambled or omlette with a little heavy cream diced ham diced onion diced green peppers sliced mushrooms shredded cheddar cheese 1 Tbsp butter 1-2 cups of coffee with 1-2 T heavy cream + 1 Tab Torani sugar free vanilla (was using sugar free coffee-mate but was too high in carbs so switched 5 days ago. Lunch Salad with romaine lettuce, celery, green or yellow or red peppers mushrooms 1/2 avocado shredded cheddar cheese ranch salad dressing 2 T (original hidden valley) deli turkey 4-6 thin slices (1 g carb per 8 oz variety) or leftovers from dinner the night before: I made Atkins Hot Dog Soup (made with sauerkraut, onion, beef broth, and lil smokies which had 1g carb per serving) so ate some leftovers of that yesterday Dinner Made low carb pulled pork with vinegar based sauce instead of tomato-based. It did have some brown sugar in the rub on it but was a huge shoulder (with lots of juices unused) so even if counting all of it would be 4g carbs per serving max. Made low carb coleslaw with green cabbage only, mayo, sour cream, splenda, lemon juice a little vinegar and seasonings. The night before was the Hot Dog Soup. Snack Usually a dill pickle cut in fourths with a smear of cream cheese rolled up in a slice of deli turkey. I did have a sweet craving the other night so mixed 2 oz of cream cheese with 1 tsp of splenda and 1 T of sugar free vanilla syrup. that was on a very low calorie day and the only time I had a sweet craving so far. My total calories have been avg. 1200-1600 a day and net carbs have been between 20-25 per day. I've not been really hungry. I wait awhile to eat breakfast but don't go 6 waking hours without eating. I have not been exercising, unless you count cleaning house and taking care of a toddler Any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I have a food scale but haven't been using it for everything so maybe I am over-under measuring? I did Atkins before and it worked great, lost 35 lbs. I have heard it's harder/slower when you go back on Atkins later than it is the first time you do it. Could that just be it? Oh & I don't drink enough water, never have so that might be it. I do drink 1-2 diet cokes a day as well.

Sorry, I posted the above comment on the Atkins site but formatting was lost so just one big paragraph when I copied it here...Any help/suggestions would be great. Thanks for all the feedback so far. I do feel like my measurements are a bit smaller but not sure if that was from the initial weight loss or since then. I always feel like I could go up or down an inch just by slightly different placements, you know? until its several inches I am not sure how accurate it will be...upper arms are the same but thigh is about .5-1" smaller, waist is about 1" smaller and hips about 1" smaller, I think...

Everything sounds good except your veggie intake, doesn't sound like it's enough. Definitely need to be drinking water, half your weight in ounces. I've heard it can be Hardee for people to get back into the swing of things when returning to Atkins, especially if yo-yo dieting has happened a lot. And I have two kids, 6 and 2 so the exercise from household chores and your tot does count in my book. I'm a stay at home mom and cook, clean, and take care of the kids I walk at least 30 mins a day too. My suggestion, just make sure you're eating enough veggies, fats, protein and drink LOTS of water.

Thanks Hdp2102:) I haven't heard that half your weight in oz. for water, that would be like 110 oz or over 13 cups a day for me, wow that sounds like a lot! I did drink 3-4 glasses a day the first few days but yeah none lately so I will definitely boost that up now. I am going to try to measure everything w/ my food scale now to make sure I'm getting enough veggies. I know it's suppose to be 12-15g net carbs from veggies so thought I was doing well but w/o weighing/measuring everything I could just be fooling myself. I made a spaghetti squash dinner one night and come to find out that it had a lot more carbs in it than I thought! It was really good though:) thanks for all the positive feedback everyone! It really helps me stay motivated:)

You're welcome! :-) I'm on the atkins site as well and that's what's being said the the old saying of 64toz a day is required when in all actuality you should be drinking more water than that. I'm not a fan of water either but I'm noticing its key in my weight loss. Stay motivated and patient, you can do this!

I too found it easier to lose the first time I did Atkins, but that was in 1977 so I was a whole lot YOUNGER. From reading what you are eating it looks to me like you could be getting too much sodium which will add about 2lbs of water weight back (does it to me every time) If my day has bacon, lil smokies, or processed lunch meats and hot dogs, I will not lose because I retain the water weight. As to water, I agree we all need to drink water for our health, but as to the amount, that has really changed with Atkins. In his original book from the 70's he says that you do NOT need to force water but to drink it only when you are thirsty. Keep up the good work.

I started Atkins back in April 2012. By June I had lost 25#, then since then it has been slow going, still down more, but not as fast. Found that I added more back into my diet than I thought I did. Started my refocus this week and hope to use this challenge to keep me in line! Still have 25# to go.
