I'm totally sucking at this challenge right now. I have no real excuse. I have stayed on plan and have been drinking water. Just not enough water. I dread the food logging. I know that if I would just struggle through the first couple of days it will get easier but I still dread it. I have been exercising but I don't know that it makes up for my failings in the other areas.

Congrats to everyone that is doing great and losing!!

LOL girl, I know you dread that food logging! I did too, and sometimes still do. I think by now, though, it's become a habit to do it for me. And it IS much easier once you start logging it, especially if you enter your food into the database yourself. We all eat pretty much the same ingredients. Maybe not on a daily basis, but during the course of a week, we have a lot of the same things in our meals. Once you have that food entered, the next time you eat it, it's already in there, and there's a link to it on the side of your food diary. I wanna help you so badly! I wish I could just come to your house and log all your food for you! LOL .. It would really give you a lot of insight as to what the issue is that's causing you not to lose. Whatever you do, don't stop exercising! That certainly can't be hurting your progress!

Thanks so much, Angie! I think I know what my issue is, I'm just really sure how to fix it. Its a brain block thing, I think. I don't eat enough on a daily basis. I don't consume enough calories. During the week, I have a protein shake every morning but if I didn't do that, I wouldn't eat breakfast. I've never been a big breakfast eater. During the week, I go to lunch with my hubby every day. He is also doing low carb so that makes it easier. I usually have a salad of some kind with ranch dressing. Then I make dinner, usually some kind of veggie and protein casserole. The weekends are terrible for me. I will eat something at about noon, then something at about 7. My water intake all but disappears. If I didn't have coffee, I wouldn't have any water at all. I know these things all need to be addressed but I'm having a hard time doing it. Actually, the intermittent fast looks appealing. I'm going to have to look into it some more. I also think I will look into the muffin in a minute thing. Maybe that will help me get better with breakfast. I really do appreciate all your support!

You're so welcome, Stacy :) And I SO understand the not eating enough, thing. I literally have to MAKE myself eat. Every time I've eaten low-carb through the years, the same thing happens. I totally lose my appetite. Like today, here it is almost 6pm, I've been awake about 7 hours, and all I've eaten is 5 Beef Snack Sticks LOL. I already posted in my diary that I had my morning coffee, but I haven't even fixed it yet.. LOLOL. What the heck is up with that? lol .. I should be hungry by now and have a headache for lack of caffeine hahaha. But seriously, I have to make myself get up and get something to eat. Okay, here's something that might help you. Make those Pork Beef Parmesan Muffins that I make. They're like little meatloaves. The recipe makes quite a few and they are under 1 net carb apiece. They are delicious and very filling. Make some, bag them up and put them in the fridge. I eat them for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just as a snack. You need to just devise some kind of plan, that's all :) If I don't have my water right here beside me, I wouldn't drink any at all. If I didn't have something to just grab and eat at times, I wouldn't eat at all. Our brains and our bodies all work in different ways, so you need something that works for YOU. For YOUR lifestyle. You've already got a great start by knowing what things need to be addressed! That's step one! Step two is making a conscious effort to fix them :) Get bottles of water, to start with. Take two of them with you in the car when you go somewhere and drink them on the way. When you're home, don't leave them in the fridge, set them in front of you so you'll be reminded to drink them. When they're empty, refill them and set them in front of you again. On the weekends, make the pork muffins and just snack on them throughout the day. Just start off reminding yourself that you need to drink your water and eat something. That's the only way to make it a habit :) Now, very important... if you start eating the Muffin in a Minute/Mug with the Flaxseed Meal, you're gonna HAVE to drink lots of water. That stuff is pure fiber! I drink TONS of water and still have trouble getting it to pass through my body. The water makes it turn into this gel-like substance, so it's easily passed. If you're not drinking enough water when you eat it, it turns to a solid and just sits in there. Not good lol. They are awesome and will make you feel full for hours, but please drink water water water with them lol. Good lord, I've typed a novel .. LOLOL! Sorry! :)

Stacy, I don't know how much truth there is to this but, Dr. Oz had a scientist on his program about the different types of fat on our bodies. In a nut shell he said belly fat and butt and thigh fat are different, therefore they break down differently. He said those with belly fat are called "hunters" and they need protein to break down belly fat. He also said that they don't need to eat breakfast, they usually aren't hungry at breakfast and two meals a day usually will suffice for them. The other is called the "farmer" those people need carbs in their food plan and they usually need 3 meals a day with 2 to 3 light snacks. He added if you float in a pool and your feet come up to the surface you have butt fat and are a "farmer". If you float in a pool and your feet go down you are the "hunter". That is one way to identify where you carry your fat in case you can't figure it out. So perhaps your not wanting breakfast isn't a bad thing. I hope you find what works for you. Maureen (pmrwp)

P.S. Great advice from angiekae68. Thanks.

Thank you, Maureen :) And I love your comment for Stacy! I'm definitely a "hunter". My fat is ALL up front. You wouldn't even know I was fat if you saw me from behind. Maybe I need to meet men that way? hahaha Just kidding.
