How Pathetic Am I??

The answer to this question is pretty simple…VERY!

I decided to start “losing weight and getting healthy” exactly 6 months ago on 1.1.2010. 2010 was going to be DIFFERENT! I was going to reach my goal weight before I turned 33 years old. I was going to live long enough to see my son have a child. I wasn’t going to be the “fat father” that was an embarrassment to his son.

THE RESULTS?


I lost 10 lbs. in 6 months. I was up to as high as 15 lbs. lost but gained a few pounds back for a total of 10. Tomorrow is July 1st, and I have exactly 6 months to turn this year around. Evan starts his 2nd year of preschool this year and will go into Kindergarden next year, so I basically have a year to get down to a reasonable weight so the other kids don’t make fun of him for having a huge father.

I have laid out the plan a million times, so I don’t need to come here and talk about all the shit I should be doing…I just need to do it and next year, talk about all the shit I DID!! I know how to lose weight because I’ve lost over 100 lbs. in the past…it’s seriously not rocket science and it really doesn’t take the much hard work…it simple takes making smart decisions, focusing on the goal and making some small changes. I know that I don’t have to go from what I do now, to cutting my calories and killing myself in the gym tomorrow, because that won’t work…this isn’t The Biggest Loser.

One small change today will add up to hundreds of small changes a year from now and all of those small changes will give me huge results and I know this…I’ve proved this.

These 6 months have flown by and if I would have just stuck to the plan and focused on my goal, I would be down 60 lbs. right now…

That isn’t just pathetic; it’s really sad and pisses me off that I’ve wasted even more time.

Hopefully, 6 months from now, on 12.31.2010, I can write about how successful that last 6 months have been….
