I passed the 300 lb threshold...and believe it is totally behind me. :) Strange how I had anxiety about it keeping it's nasty claws on me. So I celebrated by buying the new EVO phone from Sprint. hee hee hee.

Last night, I went to a friends home for dinner and enjoyed the meal. They offered sweet tea to me (I am a notorious SWEET tea drinker) and when I passed for water it turned heads. We got to talking about eating and nutrition.. the hostess/wife kept trying to find things for me to eat...because I had passed the potatoes (another thing I ALWAYS ate before) But I was perfectly happy witht he bbq chicken breast and brocolli. AND SATISFIED!

I have started adding nuts and fruit...and will gradually add more as I start transition to OWL phase. Any advice?

296.2 lb Lost so far: 45.8 lb.    Still to go: 76.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Flowerdude - I have been eating nuts the whole time and they don't seem to affect my weight loss. Some nuts are lower carb than others... almonds are a good one. I would be sure to add things one week at a time so you can see how each one affects your weight loss. Congrats on getting under that 300 mark!!!

Awesome job. I know about that anxeity about hitting a particular weight level. Right around 300 my weight loss has started to slow down and 300-290 has been moving slower than I had hoped. It seems my body slows down just before a goal. Now I just want to break that 50 lbs lost barrier. Jealous about the phone! Have had my eye on that one. BTW, how are you managing the muscle cramps?

I am having a fight with the 200 pound mark. It is being very elusive, and I am really beginning to get very irritated with it!!! As for the nuts, macadamias are one of the lowest, 3 grams of carbs per serving, with 2 grams of fiber. And man are they tasty!! As for your fear of the 300 pound mark, well your fought it and you WON!!! ANd what a great reward!! I, too, love that graphic. I love watching the birds eating the french fries at McDonald's, but wonder how they can tolerate that stuff when we can't!! lol
