every time I get on the scale I expect to see it back up in the 270s...it's like I can't really believe the number is going down!

I definitely know what you mean! Some mornings I swear I'm looking at the scale wrong, specially since I've dropped below the 200's. Some days I'm still a little confused.

I've started seeing the scale "wrong" in a surprisingly GOOD way! I have a doctor's scale (the tall one with the weights you move across the bar). When I weigh in, and it is REALLY 185, I see it as one-THIRTY-five, because I forget that the big weight is on 150, instead of on 100.
