While I am never pleased when I see the big spike on the scale, this one was not unexpected. Last night we had a combo birthday party for two of my daughters at our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant. I wolfed down the chips and salsa like it was my last meal, and that was before the meal. The red velvet cake after the meal was probably not needed either, but it was a small slice and it sure was a good little treat.

On the good side, it is nice to see the spike under 197 rather than in the 199 range. This gives me confidence that the 194/195 weigh-ins are the trend, not a mirage. The good thing about getting in shape is that the body will take what it needs and spit out the rest. I should be back in the lower range in a day or two.
196.8 lb Lost so far: 11.8 lb.    Still to go: 13.8 lb.    Diet followed poorly.
