Good Morning people!! Hope everyone has had a great week! I haven't been sleeping well this week.. been waking up around 4 all week and not able to get back to sleep.. but the last 3 days I have used it as a good thing..i will lay in bed attempting sleep til around 5-5:20 then I get up and start getting ready.. but I have more leisure time so I'm not so rushed and crazy... I make my breakfast, lunch.. snacks.. had a mini walk.. got out the door to work early and got to the office to start up the systems and run my reports without being rushed.. so by the time everyone else comes bustling in I'm settled and already working.. I've also been waaaay more pleasant.. which considering I'm lacking like 2 hours of sleep I normally have in some way... is WEIRD.. but I've been going with it. I went to the rec center to swim last night.. alone.. but it was GREAT!I went into the 12' area and tread water for the better part of half an hour.. alternating just arms and then just legs. then I did kind of jogging in the water type thing the lngth of the pool (in the 4 and 5 ft area)a few times (it's olympic sized) so I got in some great exercise and enjoyed! ohhh and I read this little thing on Jillianmichaels.com and thought I would share it. Hope everyone has a FANTASTIC WEEKEND!!!!

Overcoming a Setback
It happens — you miss a few workouts and you feel like you've fallen off the weight-loss wagon. It's tempting to mentally slap yourself around, right? (Or head for the fridge.) Before you start, I want to remind you of something: Being hard on yourself is the Old You.

The New You knows how to deal with setbacks and get back on the wagon. And after all, there are no mistakes, just learning experiences. Weight loss is a process — it takes time. You will encounter small failures — everyone does — but every pound you gain can be lost.

And if you miss a workout, it's not the end of the world! Get to the gym the next day and continue to focus on your short-term goals. Just because you made bad choices today doesn't mean you can't start over tomorrow. New day? New beginning. And don't you forget it!

Nice to see you managing so well when you are sleep deprived. Maybe you are just one of those people that don't need that much sleep. I used to be that way. 4 hours was enough but now, no way - I am a grump and can't function. Thanks for posting that information, I actually read it in Julian's voice. Strange.... Oh, and great job on the swim. I am so looking forward to having a pool again.

I miss living close to a gym and getting into a pool. I used to love that. I love the smell of the chlorine too - wierd I know. That is great that you are still so pleasent even sleep deprived. I get really grouchy.
