I thought I did pretty well yesterday to proceed on Keto, since we went out to eat after church and I always gain a little bit. I avoided most all the things at Souplantation that I love: pizza like bread, chocolate sundae, lots of beets, peas, pasta with Alfredo sauce. But I did have a little clam chowder soup, and even though I took out all the potato, it still has thickener in it and milk. It is the best soup they have but maybe I can avoid it next time. Also I had a little beet slices, and they are so high in carbs, I came home and threw out a part of an open can. Now I know this is not serious, but I am still in the adapting stage, so am thinking I need to be strict for a couple of months, to get my body into Keto mode. When I listed all the lunch items to the best of my ability and saw the results, I decided not to have any dinner, so I have been fasting since 2:30 yesterday afternoon. I cannot walk or gently jog on my Rebounder since it hurts down my butt and leg with each left step. I do have fractures in L5 that I was probably born with and never healed, plus 3 bulging disks. I broke T11 five years ago but I'm sure this new pain is from further down. I wonder if it will get better? It scares me for the future. I never plan to have surgery, I would rather die. My husband is pushing me to take slow walks but I see walking just irritates it more. I take no pain medication. A couple of years ago, my husband got very angry at me for a time, that I intend to not have surgery. No doctor said I should, he just wants me to be "fixed". Even now if I complain he starts to get mad. It's hard not to pull away from him emotionally, and I know the Lord wants me to forgive and try to be open and "giving", but I am so, so human. My self pity is wrong.
Fasted 23 hours.
119.1 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 6.1 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
