Have increased my daily calories, drank as much water as I could and added a bit of exercise and have very slowly started losing weight again..... PLEASE body, keep it up!! It's actually really hard to eat SO many carbs in a day! Maybe I've been in starvation mode for years, but eating way too many calories, hence the weight gain and being unable to lose! Fingers crossed.....
169.3 lb Lost so far: 7.1 lb.    Still to go: 19.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Fantastic! You didn't give up and that shows true strength of character. I find it hard to eat the calories without too many carbs - I hate salad and was struggling through a cup of lettuce until I started making a blue cheese dressing (blue cheese and heavy cream) - now I can't wait to eat the darned lettuce!!! Go girl!

Thanks Kaz, I think it's made me realise nothing is as simple as it seems and even the best laid out diets need a bit of tweaking! I think more emphasis should be put on Calories as well as carbs and how to get the calories out WITHOUT the carbs! It's amazing how many carbs are actually in the stuff I used to eat! Great tip about the lettuce, cream and cheese are great ways to get your cals up without the carbs and obviously, eating more meat! I'm finding it difficult to eat SO much meat though! Keep up the good work and thanks for accepting my buddy request! We have quite similar goals so will be interesting to see how we both go reaching them!

I fear I might have a gain when I weigh tomorrow - i have been doing so well but have had a string of parties (wine!) but you know, have managed to keep off the food! I don't think I am eating enough calories and I am going to up the water (crikey I am already at the bathroom 100 times a day!) - we shall see tomorrow
