Eating minimum of 2000 calories a day is paying off. Finally got my appetite going in the right direction again. Now to get back on a more regular schedule for workouts might take a little more time since lately I’ve been so exhausted by the time I get home from work. Stressful month but I’m proud of myself for the gain

Of all of the people on app trying to lose weight, why are you trying to gain? What is your story! 😃

Not really much of a story. I just have the opposite problem as everyone else. Where most people struggled to lose weight. I always struggled to keep it on or gain. I was barely 100lbs all through high school and got treated like I had an eating disorder even though I ate more than the guys. My guidance counselor started pulling me out of class about every other week junior year to weigh me and ask if I was eating. As an adult I was always the smallest. 105lbs when I got pregnant at 20 years old. Gaining weight then was easy lol and I never had so much boobs in my life. Gained 70lbs with my daughter who came out at only 6lbs 13oz lol. I quickly dropped back down to 135 just a week after birth and I tried to work out to tone while maintaining weight but that didn’t happen. By the time I finished massage therapy school 3 years later I was struggling to stay in the 120 range. Single mom stress, work and being too broke to have a plethora of groceries, I subconsciously started a bad habit of saving food so I had plenty for my daughter but didn’t really eat enough for me. And back down to 108 I went.. now I’m almost 30 and I still get those looks sometimes like someone is dying to tell me to eat a cheeseburger

Which don’t get me wrong, I would love a cheeseburger. But where most people get encouragement when they say they’re on a diet to be healthier. When I say I’m trying to gain weight I get those incredulous looks like I can’t be self conscious because I’m not fat or I’m somehow insulting their goals with my own. But see there’s issues that come with being so small. You get sick and you can’t eat for a few days, yay you might have lost a few pounds and you bounce back. I get sick and I’m terrified I’m going to drop all the weight that it took me a month gain. I have to force myself to eat and really make sure I don’t dehydrate because that could mean a costly hospital visit, which has happened. I caught a head cold and stomach virus in the same month once and dropped 15 pounds in almost 2 weeks. It took me a month to feel human again. I’m a massage therapist so while I absolutely love what I do, I have to be even more careful to keep my strength up. So I’m on a journey to feel better, stronger and hopefully finally confident. And hopefully consistently. Shit I guess that was a story 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

My (male) roommate has the same issue. It is just as hard to gain for some ppl as it is for others to lose. You are doing great. Keep up the good work!

Exactly! And thank you! My proud of myself for maintaining in the 120s since I started this. It’s the first time I’ve ever used a calorie tracker and it’s made all the difference
