September 30 through October 6

-Average daily protein 99.29g/day. 91g/day goal met.
-Average daily calories 1585/day. Above my programmed RDI but below FatSecret's RDI for me. It was an especially active week for me because of various schedule changes so it should have been alright.
-5445 calorie deficit as per FatSecret
-Average daily weight 170.14 +1.57

This was a discouraging week for me. As soon as I saw that jump in the middle of the week, I knew my average daily weight would not recover to show a loss this week. Intellectually, I know the number doesn't matter but it is challenging to not feel discouraged. For me the challenge lies in the second guessing that inevitably occurs. I think the big jump was due to a salmon salad I ate the day before combined with a very late meal. I am somewhat lactose intolerant and cream cheese is well above my tolerable threshold but it was DELICIOUS. It is also possible that the cream cheese was only a problem because I had enjoyed some questionable foods on Sunday too. It is this guessing game I HATE. I feel comfortable accepting it was water weight because of the steady drops I have experienced since. While I went over my calorie allowances, I was nowhere near amounts that would warrant an almost five lb gain in a day!! I think I will continue on this course for at least another week. I had really high protein days this week without being too uncomfortable. It made me think I can maybe keep the 91g/day protein goal while incorporating fasting as well. I miss not eating some times. Eating every day is a bit exhausting. I felt all bloated that high weight day and wanted to fast but was worried about my protein goals. I am going to crunch numbers and come up with a new plan for next week. Happy week to anyone who made it to the end of all this whining ;)

So funny I was looking at your weight chart and I thought I was looking at my own. We have been the same weight for months! So I looked at your food to see what I could have eaten to get the same results I have anyway :) I could not pull it off like you can, but it is fun to wonder 'what if' :)

of coarse you are right now way you have a 5 pound gain from one days treats of food that does not do well with you and yes it is water weight..it is always a learning experience with what we need to do to maintain. moderation and adjustment is all part of the process. you are doing great

I hadn't realized we are weight chart twins Adefwebserver. That is hilarious. I wish my food was more appetizing for your "what if"! I can't play "what if" with your food because I think all that heavy cream would spell disaster for me ;) You are right Baskington and thank you for the encouragement. Lol Chrisw77...stay tuned for crunchy numbers next week...same bat-time...same bat-channel.

Can you explain what RDI stands fir?

thanks Chris! Mteacher, fatsecret uses intake instead of allowance thus the I at the end but it all means the same thing. You can go by the recommendations fatsecret advises for a person your age, sex, and weight or you can set your own.
