Why write about on the medical drama below? Because when a person takes positive steps to get healthier, one must show that and in return the person who has taken the positive steps helps themselves, is feeling better about what they have done. It is especially true for people making a dramatic change like myself, where usually this is something I would rarely do.

I went to the doctor and ordered bloodwork. It's only maintenance work. I want to make sure my cholesterol is good and that high blood pressure is good as well as sugar, thyroid, and everything else. I weighed my self in the morning and weighed 232, but when I got to the doctors office I was wearing heavy jeans with keys, wallet, change to ride the bus. I am not saying that the scale in the doctors office was wrong, it said I weighed 236. I also looked for a sticker on there that says that scale was tested recently and was certified.

When it comes to the blookwork being done, I have to fast ( keep from eating ) for 8 hours before the blood is drawn. I do however have to drink alot of fluids to keep from dehydrating.

Overall, I am happy with my doctor visit and how my doctor is encouraging me to continue losing weight. He said 5lbs per month for myself is not considered rapid weight loss and I should be fine.

I should however be watching my caffeine intake, salt and stress.

I am not surprised he asked me if I drink energy drinks since these things are so mainstream. People drink these things as if they were water. And of course our homeostatic mechanism tries to do what it can with that extra caffeine. The first couple of times it helped me boost my energy, then I realized I was becoming dependent on them just to function.

I gave up on energy drinks and now I just drag myself through the day. Or listen to a cool happy mood song in my head to keep my chin up.

Feeling good is essential to losing weight. Keep your chin up everyone, that first mountain you have to climb over is not easy, results are not immediate and it takes preseverance. BUT you can do it. After than first mountain, its a lot easier.

Good luck.
