Lost a bunch of water weight and I have a headache, not sure if it's the calorie restriction or dehydration, although I have been drinking a lot of water!

I've had some, let's say, digestive issues recently, which may have been largely caused by overeating - they've improved a lot since I started calorie counting. I mentioned the digestive issues to the doctor today, and he told me to eat *nothing* for two days and drink only water. I can't imagine a doctor in my country (the UK) telling somebody that! But I'm up for trying it, so I guess starting tomorrow I'll be fasting for two days. I think tonight I'll eat over my goal calories (1700) to make the next two days a little easier for myself!

sounds like you have a great Dr. there in UK. in USA we get a lot of pill pushing Doctors.. anyhow water fasting is very beneficial and this is how I started my diet initially, that was a month ago. I water fasted one day and then began my diet it was a way to reboot my system. wish you good gut health and happy water fasting I believe you will benefit a great deal. best to you.

I live in Spain now so it was the Spanish doctor, I don't think most UK doctors would recommend fasting! But the Spanish doctor was very matter of fact and recommended the fast before anything else. Also, I think the Spanish health system is overworked so it's probably more cost effective to recommend this as a treatment before running tests etc. I actually realized I have some blood tests on Thursday morning which I need to eat normally before, so the fast will have to wait two more days. In the meantime I'll stick with the calorie counting :) Thanks for your support um_autaviah, best wishes to you too :)
