I haven't thought far enough for that. It still seems so far away. My thoughts have been mostly about how I'm going to maintain the weight loss. Last time I got down to this goal weight I lost control, I don't want that to happen again.

Yep all kidding aside ...that's mine too..I hear maintenance is hard...we will figure it out...tons of support for us here and I think we will be ok...;)

You might look at 1 day of ‘normal’ type eating a week and stay with your whole foods Kevinly. 🤷🏻‍♀️It seems to give you all kinds of energy. Why would you give that up? Just by adding a food or two you will find a happy medium you can live with. 🙋🏻

smprowett: That's an idea I've been floating around in my head, except I was thinking a week or two. If I am successful in a couple of weeks, I would still be losing weight (since I would still be in a calorie deficit) but it would be very slow and I will be able to trust my lifestyle plan. A lot of people on my style of diet don't bother counting calories since it's so easy to be calorie deficient on it. Having gone through a weight-loss plan before, I don't want to leave it up to chance or advice from anyone who isn't me. If I do this, I think I'm going to hold off until I get into the "Normal Range" for my height (which is 169 when I accept that I'm an inch shorter than I used to be ;-)).

I understand that! LOL I’ve shrunk an inch in the ladt years. And have been back and forth ‘maintaining’ for weeks or months over the ladt 2 years to make sure I could do it sustainably. 🤷🏻‍♀️I think I’m approaching 200lbs down or something like that, but I’ve really been more concerned that I could keep it off and keep a lifestyle going that suits ME. 🙋🏻 And gives ME energy! LOL

Correction: 150 lbs down LOL I KNEW 200 sounded WAY too high! I was never quite that big. I may lose a bit more, but I’ll never lose 200 total unless you count all the ups and downs! 😂

if I lost 150 lbs, I would never forgot that number because I'd be sure everyone knew how much I lost! Great job! Last time I was down to the weight I wanted to be at I did great for 6 months or so, but it slipped away when I started to eat garbage food without logging. Then I was a bit ashamed so I didn't weigh myself to see the damage done. It's not that I didn't know that what I was doing was unhealthy, it's just that the cravings for garbage food got the better of me. Every once and a while I would try again to lose it, but I couldn't buckle down long enough to make a difference. I'm not sure how to prevent this, I'm hoping that what I'm doing now will, but that is something only time will tell.

I think logging and staying honest about it for a year ir two really helps to get the habits ingrained into your life so you can see what is going to effect the final results and how. 🤷🏻‍♀️That’s why I really appreciate the people like HCB and Draglist and Heidi and Topher who keep coming back even though they are at weight and all have their own chalkenges. Each of the people I’ve ended up close to here has a challenge to deal with in one way or another and they are sticking it out and working through it whether it’s ill health and lots of pounds or few coming off VERY slowly. 🙋🏻
