i have this thing with eating really late sometimes.. and i'm wondering how bad it is for me to eat before or around 11 pm.. it's not like i over eat during the day. i just alwways seem to need something to eat a couple hours before to tie me over, or i just wake up in the middle of the night starving( and might just want to eat anything)..

Perhaps you're not getting enough at dinnertime.. I don't wake up at night when hungry usually. Try drinking something filling instead of eating, which might weigh you down. Late eating is notorious for causing slower weight loss. (I've been more than guilty of it many times in the past). Tonight I'm up and thought I ate enough around seven p.m. and have atwelve hour fast with just water for blood work tomorrow for a physical I just had. My body is CRAVING something - even a diet soda, so I know what you're going through. Best of luck, try celery sticks - no calories! Maybe with some cream cheese as it's low carb!! :)

I think that it's important to eat a good dinner early (6 or 7 pm) and then if you are hungry have a small snack no later than 9 pm. I like to allow myself some low carb chocolate treats and I usually have them after dinner around 8. If you prefer savory items you may want to keep some deviled eggs around for snacking or just simply hard boiled eggs. I try and always have some on hand in the fridge.

Have you tried chewing sf gum.. I have different flavors and I even get a couple pcs. before I go to bed! Reading weight loss magazines help me too ... reading about all the diets and weight loss makes me want to try a little harder and usually.. if I can go on to bed hungry... it usually goes away and I'm not starving when I wake up the next morning.
