Checked my ketone levels yesterday (by urine stick) and it showed none. Checked today, high ketosis.

Did I get a bad stick? I should not have jumped from 0 to 80 (on the stick) in less than 24 hours should I?
173.2 lb Lost so far: 13.3 lb.    Still to go: 38.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Ketones are generally higher in the evening. As you adapt, readings will get lower because you are using them instead of excreting them.

I get what you are saying. Here is the thing, I have been in ketosis for about a month. Even the days I cheated (ate way more carbs that I should have, about 70g) it still only dropped me into a light ketosis (15 on the sticks). I normally check my ketone level in the evening, basically because that is when I have time to remember. Two days before I got the no ketone reading, I had abou 50g of carbs (due to hidden carbs in some veggies I ate for dinner, I really should have looked at those labels better). So i figured maybe I had screwed up. But to check the very next day and read an 80 on the ketosticks, that does not make sense. Unless it was just a bad stick, I don’t understand why I would jump that quickly back to the level I was at before.
